Building managers provide essential services such as general maintenance, security, safety, cleaning and landscape maintenance, facility maintenance eg swimming pools, multi-purpose halls, sports equipment etc. Other essential services are the provision of engineering and technical services to operate the Mechanical & Electrical Installations of the property. These are essential services needed for a property to function properly to serve the owners, tenants and residents of all types of properties. Other critical aspects within the realm of building management include financial management, rule enforcement, security and safety, engagement with the community, legal matters and conflict resolution.
As the sole multi-stakeholder body for building management in Malaysia, BMAM looks forward to play a significant role towards enhancing professionalism in the building management industry. Education and training of building managers and other related personnel are key initiatives towards achieving this objective.
